The Breakaways Variety

The Breakaways Variety was established in 1969.

They perform two shows a year, a panto in winter and a song and dance show in summer. Apart from the costs of performing the show, all the proceeds go to charity.

We have approximately 30 members, age range 7 to 80 though not all the members participate in every show.

We rely on the good will of local authorities and our mambers to enable to perform our shows which we produce on a small budget.

Despite the lack of funding, The Breakaways Variety are able to produce shows of a reasonably high standard and are lucky to have a wealth of talented people.

Local Variety group The Breakaways are amongst the groups that will be performing at the evening show on 26th June 2010 in the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park. The planned show 'Let us Entertain You' will be a lively evening aimed at thanking our Armed Forces.
