Bracknell achieves grant from the MOD
|
The MOD supports many organisations around the UK in celebration Armed Forces Day. The MOD offer grants of upto 40% of the costs to assist with the infrastructure of any event, following review of a successful application.
The BAFD 2010 committee have been successful in raising a grant of £3,500 towards the infrastructure of the 2010 event to be held on 26th June 2010 at the Recreation Park opposite South Hill Park Mansion (Free Event) and the evening Show to thank our Armed Forces at the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park (Cost £10 per head). The fund raising will continue for the next 100 days taking us into May 2010, where activities and small events will take place to raise funds, as well as contacting small businesses to purchase advertising space in our programs will help make the 2010 event bigger, brighter and place it firmly in the calender for future years to come. The BAFD 2010 theme is Cadet 150, celebrating 150 years of the Cadet Forces. We are hoping that a there will be a high interest of all the cadet forces at this years event. Every £1 raised will help the Bracknell event remain successful and provide support for future events. The BAFD 2010 is run by volunteers with a passion to thank the Armed Forces Past, Present and Future - Anyone who may be interested in assisting with fund raising should contact the Event Coordinator Miss.
