BAFD - What is on the Horizon

The planned Bracknell Armed Forces Day 2010 will include stands from organisations such as the Bracknell Royal British Legion, The Royal Naval Association, RAF Association and Cadet Forces, etc., there were displays provided by the ATC Cadets; with a presentation of Veterans Lapel Badges. We are proud to share the parade with the Reading Scottish Pipe Band and the Army Medical Service Band. A day that will be enjoyed by everyone.
The Bracknell Armed Forces Day Committee would like to thank all those personnel involved in the organising of the event, as well as all the local businesses and organisations that assisted in the funding of the event, the fund raising has been hard - but rewarding. 
An outline of the 2010 celebrations so far are: 17th April 2010 (1930 - 2300) Congratulations to the BAFD 2010 Team who help raise £863.00 at the Fund Raising Race Night. 8th May 2010 (1930 - 2300) Congratulations to the BAFD 2010 Team who help raise £143.00 at the Fund Raising Quiz Night. 12th June 2010 (all day) Bracknell Town Centre BAFD 2010 promotion day,the local residents met the forces behind the event (RBL, RNA & RAFA) and help raise £570.00 MORE PHOTOS ON FLICKR

MORE PHOTOS ON FLICKR 20th June 2010 (1100) Holy Trinity Church, Bracknell Cadet 150 dedicated Service with 2211 Sqd Bracknell ATC and 7th Plt Bracknell ACF. The Service was enjoyed by all. 21st June 2010 (1000) Raise the Armed Forces Day Flag at Bracknell Town Council Offices & supporting businesses. Flags were Raised at the Bracknell Royal British legion, Bracknell Town Council and Bracknell Forest Council Offices Between 1000 - 1015. Standards from the Bracknell RBL, RNA and RAFA were in attendance. 
The Bracknell Town Council Mayor Graham Ellis and Bracknell Forest Council Mayor Ian Leake joined the event as the AFD Flags now fly high over Bracknell
